Connect saved rooms into a home or office floor plan
Build a single-level arrangement from saved room copies. Align their edges, position connecting doorways and keep track of which changes belong to each copy.
Save and check each room first
Create each room with its measured length, width, height and openings. Add furniture and finishes, then resolve calculation and placement warnings before saving. Use names that make the rooms easy to identify.
Open Connected spaces while signed in and add the saved rooms you need. Free includes one space containing up to three rooms. Plan limits for larger arrangements are listed on the plans page; paid checkout is currently unavailable.
Arrange room copies on one level
Drag and rotate room copies to approximate the layout, then use Align & add doorway where two rooms should connect. Check the shared edge, door width and doorway position. Resolve overlap and opening warnings before saving.
This is a single-level planning arrangement of rectangular rooms. It is not a building survey, structural drawing or assessment of utilities, escape routes or construction feasibility. Do not assume that a suggested connection can be built.
A three-room planning exercise
Save a living room, bedroom and office, then add all three to one space. Align the bedroom next to the living room and add a connection on their shared edge. Move the office copy and check that its footprint does not overlap either room.
Understand what a room copy preserves
A connected space stores an independent copy of each room’s design. Editing the original saved room does not silently update that copy. Refresh it explicitly when you want the new design to appear in the space.
Deleting an original room does not remove the copy in the saved space. Give each space a recognizable name and use its Save space button; room autosave and space saving are separate actions.
Review the combined design and budget
Use the combined 2D layout and 3D view to inspect the arrangement, furniture and finishes. Compare the space total with the work you actually intend to buy, keeping product prices and excluded work in view.
A downloaded image captures the planning scene at that moment. It does not update after later edits. Confirm shared dimensions, wall thickness assumptions and the proposed connections with the appropriate professional before any construction work.
